MEMORIAL WEEKEND WAS BEST SPENT WITH FIRE, FRIENDS AND FAMILY... OH AND THE WOODS

This is my story, my life & sometimes I forget to say thank you. 

I feel so blessed to be able to share pieces of my life with you all. Sometimes sitting down and putting my fingers to the keys feels like meeting with old and new friends alike. I have met so many amazing people and I feel so grateful to share & do life with you all. 

This past week it was filled with some of my favorite things, family, friends, bonfires and the woods. When we lived in Montana for almost 10 years I would dream of spending some of those days (especially holidays) with family. This past year we have been so blessed to do just that. So many amazing memories have been made with both of our families and this Memorial weekend was no exception. 

Here is a sneak peak into our story... 

I foraged some of the plants on my grandpa's property to make a make shift centerpiece... that I later took home to keep :) 

Marcus told me that I was brave enough to drive the four-wheeler. I tried to believe him since he trusted me... well he shouldn't have trusted me. I hit the gas instead of the break and I can still hear his voice gently behind me say "now you should hit the break, the break, the break... no thats the gas..." as I almost run us into a fallen tree. (insert hand smacking face emoji) 

Just two sisters trying to reliving the glory days where they were skilled dancers who could actually take well timed jumping photos. I guess I'll give us and A+ since one of us is now officially in her 30's.

The best foil dinner there ever was... 

Simply take some heavy duty foil, create a pouch and layer in ground beef, thinly sliced potatoes, carrots & onions. Top with salt and pepper and a little butter. Seal up the pouch by rolling all the edges in together, then toss on a nice pile of coals to cool! 

My dad & the best PNW sunset = magic hour 

Sweetest niece there ever was and an old cabin that my dad and his family used to go and camp at growing up, the same cabin I used to camp at when I was a baby. 

I'm taking all of these little moments and bundling them up. I don't know where life will take them and if there is one thing I have learned, it is to live in the moment and cherish what you have. Make moments with the people you love.
